I have toner available and would like to be able to refill rather than replace the toner and drum assembly in the printer.

You make a hole.
Pour in the toner, with a small funnel.
Block the hole, with tape or rubber bung.
That’s it.
Google “refill laser cartridge” and you will find several sites with instructions

Toner molecules are all shaped differently. Don’t do it! Pay the $50 for the remanufactured cartridge and don’t wreck your printer

Hi, With great care as it is horrible to get off. plenty of newspaper and surgical gloves, try not to rush the job it can get messy.

steve is right, it’s that simple for the majority of cartridges. I used to refill the Laserjet 4I all the time it’s pretty straight forward I think just refill the cartridge and replace. As long as you buy compatible toner you’ll be fine.

try the company under the toner checker and see what it costs.
