I have been refilling my inkjet printer and toner printer for years. Currently, I have an HP1525nw (toner) and a Lexmark X4650 (inkjet). I am on my third (3rd) refill on my HP toner cartridges and haven't seen a drop in output quality yet. I can refill my Lexmark inkjet cartridges about 8-9 times before they start creating subpar outputs.

This is my first laser printer ever and wow am I excited about the high quality outputs this printer gives. Laser is the bomb!! When my inkjet printer breaks down, I will probably replace it with a Laser.

I have been refilling for about 7 years and have gone through four (4) inkjet printers in that time. As my statistics and experience shows, my inkjet printers break down way before my ink refill bottles (10oz) get to empty. My last HP inkjet printer did about six (6) refills. After that, the thing that drags the cartidges across back and forth inside the printer started to fail and get stuck and eventually stopped and started making noises.

So careful on buying "cheap" printers. They may only last 5 refills anyway before they start breaking down. But then again, the most expensive printer on the shelf isn't going to necessarily last longer than the cheapest printer on the shelf.

I guess it's just plain luck. Either way, refilling SAVES $$$ in the short-run or long-run.
